Directions to the University of Maryland Main Campus:

Visitor Parking Options:

  1. Visitors are free to park in any Numbered lots (Lot 1, Lot 2, Lot 4, Lot 9 etc) on the UMD campus after 4pm for FREE. Spaces are not guaranteed and may be limited. Please refer to the campus map to locate the numbered lots. Parking in numbered lots before 4pm may result in a parking citations.
  2. Visitors are encouraged to park in designated paid visitors parking lots. Please refer to this map to locate the Visitor Parking Lots: http://www.transportation.umd.edu/parking/maps/map_visitor.pdf

The hourly parking rate, hours of operation, and parking restrictions may vary by location. Please remember that listed rates and operating hours are subject to change. Visitor parking may not be available during special events such as sports games, commencement, etc. Read any posted signs before parking.

Directions to events in Stamp Student Union:

For driving and metro directions to Stamp Student Union, please visit Stamp's website. Paid visitor parking is available in Union Lane Garage, adjacent to Stamp. Once you park, take note of your space number and pay at the digital pay station. There is also free parking after 4 PM in Lot 1, a short walk away.

Directions to events in Susquehanna Hall:

There is paid visitor parking available in Mowatt Lane Garage, a short walk from Susquehanna Hall.

Metro Access:

The University of Maryland is accessible via Metro's Green Line. Taking the Green Line Train, get off at the College Park/U of MD station.

The university's Shuttle-UM buses (Route #104) picks up university-bound passengers on the EAST side of the metrorail station. Shuttle-UM service between the College Park Station (Green line) and the center of campus is very frequent - every 8 minutes peak hours most weekdays - is offered year-round, and is open to everyone - no ID required.
